A Live Performance by Words of Choice! — dynamic pro-choice theater coming from New York City, followed by Activist Roundables on Women’s Health, Teaching Sex Education, New Jersey Issues; National Issues, Dr. Tiller & Providers; Online Activism.

“Words of Choice”-UU Montclair hold a pre-Valentine’s event to signal mobilization as a community to protect women’s reproductive rights and to create the new United States of Choice!

Be entertained!  Get informed!  And show your support for reproductive freedom, as we raise funds to help send “Words of Choice” and its pro-choice activism to distressed states, and raise money for needy women though the Tiller Fund, named after a courageous doctor murdered in Kansas in 2008.

The Live Performance at 3 pm will be followed by Activist Roundables led by leaders in health and activism from NJ and beyond.

“Words of Choice,” created by Cindy Cooper, is a professional theater focusing on reproductive freedom. An ensemble of actors let a woman’s right to choose soar in a tapestry of 14 powerful “shorts,” both serious and comic. These are stories from the heart: humorous and tender; poignant and riveting, from a dozen writers of theater, spoken word, comedy, poetry, oral history and journalism.  “Smart, funny, endangered!” This theatrical event  ”will leave you with renewed hope and compassion.”

The performance will feature Crista Marie Jackson, Carl H. Jaynes and Claudia Schneider, under the direction of Francesca Mantani Arkus.  Well known film, tv, soap and theater actor, Maggie Reed, will serve as emcee.
